Keeping health and safety simple – Health, Safety & Fire Support for businesses

Social Responsibility

SHE does safety Ltd is a specialist health, safety and fire consultancy dedicated to protecting people, workplaces, and the environment across East Anglia. We strongly believe that commercial success and social responsibility go hand in hand, and as such we will give back to our local community wherever possible.

Our Social Responsibility beliefs set out our public commitment to operate ethically, support our local communities, and use our expertise to create lasting positive impact beyond our commercial activities. Our aim is to ensure those providing much needed care and support to our local communities are supported to do this safely and in a financially viable way.

Purpose

The purpose of this is to:

  • Embed social responsibility into every aspect of our business
  • Demonstrate our active support for organisations that strengthen local communities
  • Provide clear, transparent benefits to charities and Community Interest Companies (CICs) whose work directly benefits the communities we serve.

Core Commitments

Community Support & Social Impact

We recognise that charities and CICs play a vital role in improving lives, supporting vulnerable groups, and strengthening local neighbourhoods. To support this work, SHE does safety offers meaningful discounts on all our health, safety, fire services to eligible organisations.

Eligibility Criteria

Discounts are available to:

  • Registered charities (UK registered with the Charity Commission or equivalent)
  • Community Interest Companies (CICs)
  • Organisations whose primary activities demonstrably benefit the local community in which we operate (for example: local schools, community centres, youth groups, disability support services, environmental projects, food banks, or domestic abuse refuges serving our region).

Discount

We are still a small business ourselves and what we financially can do is constrained by this. However, we will apply discounts of up to 40% on applicable services.

In addition, we are allocating 5% of all sales to donate to a nonprofit or charity organisation each year, supporting them in delivering essential projects. For example, we may support Way Up High CIC and their emergency referral projects, or MJ Training and their bleed kit project. However, we will also rotate and donate to other organizations to broaden our support.

Implementation

A register of supported organisations is maintained internally for transparency and annual reporting.

Companies can highlight that they are a charity or CIC on enquiry stage. We will endeavour to identify charities or CIC during quoting. Discounts, however, cannot be retrospectively applied to services.

Monitoring, Review & Reporting

The Director will review this policy annually to ensure it continues to deliver genuine community benefit. We will publish an annual summary detailing:

  • Number of charities and CICs supported
  • Total value of discounts provided
  • Examples of community projects we have helped
