What is a Fire Risk Assessment?
A fire risk assessment is a systematic evaluation of your workplace to identify potential fire hazards, assess the risks they pose, and implement the necessary measures to mitigate them.
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, it is a legal requirement for all non-domestic premises to have a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment in place.
This must be reviewed regularly, especially after any significant changes to the building or its use.
Our fire risk assessors are continually striving to better themselves and upskill. Their qualifications and experience are recognised at intermediate level under the new BS 8674:2025 Framework for Fire Risk Assessor competency.
Our Fire Risk Assessments adhere to key British Standards and industry guidelines, including:
- BS 9999:2017 – Fire safety in the design, management, and use of buildings.
- PAS 79-1:2020 Fire risk assessment — Premises other than housing — Code of practice
By following this methodology it ensures a thorough, evidence-based approach for you and your business.
