There are probably more glamorous ways to find out you’ve been shortlisted for an industry award than while picking up sausage rolls for a 70th birthday… but apparently that’s how we do things at SHE does safety!
We’re incredibly proud to share that Laura Tull, Director of SHE Does Safety Ltd, has been shortlisted for the Leader in Health & Safety Consultancy Award 2026.
The award recognises individuals who have made a significant impact within health and safety consultancy through expert guidance, practical solutions, professional standards, leadership and integrity.
For Laura, those words make the recognition particularly special.
Doing safety a little differently
We know many consultancies advertise this, but SHE does safety was created with a fairly simple idea: health and safety consultancy should help businesses, not overwhelm them.
That means giving advice that is practical, proportionate and relevant to the organisation in front of us. It means understanding how a business actually operates before recommending what it should do, producing documentation people can genuinely use, and being prepared to challenge unnecessary complexity where it doesn’t improve safety.
Today, SHE supports businesses through services including Competent Person support, health and safety reviews and audits, fire risk assessments, workplace inspections, management systems and health and safety documentation.
We work with organisations of very different sizes and across some wonderfully varied industries, but the approach remains the same: understand the business, understand the risk and provide sensible professional support that works in the real world.

Being shortlisted for an award centred on leadership within health and safety consultancy feels particularly meaningful because it reflects the kind of consultant Laura is, and the consultancy SHE was created to provide.
As a small independent business, there are plenty of days involving considerably more spreadsheets, emails and cups of coffee than glamorous industry moments.
So this one means a lot.
