Health & Safety Training Now Available Through SHE Does Safety

A little SHE update… we can now help with even more of your training needs!

Training is something our clients regularly ask us about, so we’re really pleased to be expanding the range of face to face and online health and safety training available through SHE Does Safety via our new partnership.

We’ve always believed in working with trusted specialists rather than trying to be everything to everyone. After all, we’ve only got so many hours in a day!

By working with people and organisations we trust, we can help businesses access a wider range of expertise while continuing to provide the practical, personal support our clients know us for.

So, when someone asks us:

“Can you help us with training too?”

Increasingly, the answer is yes!

Face to Face Health and Safety Training

Through our partnership with Praxis42, businesses can now gain access to a wider range of face-to-face health and safety training through SHE Does Safety.

This includes recognised IOSH training, such as IOSH Working Safely, alongside more specialist training options.

For businesses looking to develop their internal COSHH knowledge and arrangements, COSHH Assessor training is also available.

For businesses with several employees requiring the same training, face-to-face delivery can provide a valuable opportunity to learn together, ask questions and relate the subject directly to the workplace.

If you’re not sure which course is appropriate, speak to us. We can help you explore the options available based on what your business and your people  need.

Online Health and Safety Training and eLearning

Not every training need requires a day in a classroom.

Businesses can also access an extensive range of online training and eLearning, providing a flexible way for employees and managers to complete training around their role, location and working day.

The available training covers a broad range of subjects, including:

  • Health and safety and workplace risk
  • Fire safety
  • COSHH and hazardous substances
  • Manual handling
  • Working at height
  • Asbestos awareness
  • Display screen equipment (DSE)
  • Lone working
  • PUWER and work equipment safety
  • Lithium-ion battery safety
  • Mental health and wellbeing
  • Workplace behaviour and neurodiversity
  • Safeguarding

The wider eLearning library also includes subjects such as workplace stress, menopause awareness, Martyn’s Law, equality and diversity, environmental awareness to name but a few. With options ranging from more comprehensive courses to refresher learning and shorter formats, businesses can choose training that works for their people rather than taking a one size fits all approach (because often it doesn’t!).

IOSH Training

Recognised IOSH training courses are also available, providing options for employees, managers and those with health and safety responsibilities.

This includes face-to-face options such as IOSH Working Safely, IOSH Managing Safely as well as additional IOSH courses available through the wider training offering.

If you have a group requiring IOSH training, or you’re unsure which level would be most appropriate, get in touch and we can discuss your requirements.

First Aid & Fire Marshall Training

For first aid & Fire Marshall training, we’re proud to continue recommending MJ Training.

Michele and the team are phenomenal at what they do, and having trusted specialists like them within our network means we can confidently connect our clients with great people when they need support outside our own areas of expertise. These can be delivered at the Training Centre in Lowestoft or on site.

It’s the same approach we take across SHE Does Safety. Not everything needs to be delivered by us. What matters is connecting our clients with people we know and trust.

What Training Does My Business Need?

Training should reflect the work people actually do, the risks they may encounter and the knowledge and skills they need to carry out their role safely. For many of the businesses we already support, we understand their workplace, activities, risks and existing health and safety arrangements including where gaps lie.

This means that when a training need arises through a risk assessment, health and safety review, workplace inspection, fire risk assessment or simply a conversation with a client, we can help identify suitable next steps.

  • That might mean formal face-to-face training.
  • It might mean an online course or refresher.
  • It might mean instruction and information, or improving whats there already.
  • Or it may be that training isn’t actually the answer at all, and another part of the business’s arrangements needs attention.

Our aim is to help businesses find the approach that is appropriate, practical and useful.
